This baby vervet monkey has refused to leave its mother even after being attacked in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park. The youth was also killed by leopards led by a girl named Olimba while hunting on October 14.
Shafeeq Mulla, a wildlife photographer from Chipata, Zambia, captured the gruesome sight of the monkey in the leopard’s mouth on video saying, ‘Nature is not always pretty, this picture surely tells us the brute truth of life.’
The baby monkey, which was very close to its mother, did not abandon its mother no matter how much it was beaten. But was eventually killed by other leopards in the group.
However, in order for the environment to survive, animals must be destroyed in order for others to survive.’
