A family adopted a 20-year-old cat from the shelter, and they don’t know how much love to give him!

Best friends go to the Animal Society in search of a kitten from a family that makes a living in Utah. There, their hearts and eyes were caught by an ardent lovely old toothless cat. This kitten was only 20 years old. His name was Dexter. This kind family was eager to give him a home of his own.

Since Dexter was already 20 years old, they knew that he would not be able to live with the residents much longer. The residents gave him a wonderful home to spend his retirement.

The day Dexter moved into his new home, he cuddled up to his housekeeper, JJ, and the two quickly bonded. JJ took care of feeding him properly by giving him food and drink.

As soon as Dexter woke up each morning, he was grateful to have a home. Dexter also did not forget to play with the residents every day.

He curled up in their arms and rubbed his head against their bodies for hours while a storm blew through their area. Not only did he get along well with his human family, but he was also the leader of the wolf pack.

His canine friends watched over him and were very protective of him. Dexter began to spread unconditional love to everyone in his path. He loved to cuddle and beg for food every morning at 4:30. His voice was very hoarse and he would not stop screaming until he got what he wanted.

He started behaving like the keeper of the house, just like normal cats do. His favorite activity was always cuddling with the residents. After spending a short period of two years with the residents, Dexter began to end his life journey. “We will never forget the love and happiness he gave in his very short time with our family. Rest in peace, Dexter.” the residents said.

“It’s never too late to save a life. There are so many great animals waiting to find their forever home in shelters across the country.” Senior cats need homes as well as kittens. Adopting them is also more difficult…
