Even though their parents pour much love into their care, children can still drive their parents crazy. When both mom and dad have been working hard all day, it is especially easy for their active youngsters to wear them out simply by playing around and innocently disrupting the one quiet time of the day. This is especially true when mom and dad have worked hard all day. It’s interesting to think that animals have similar experiences with their families. Let’s get to know the Gorilla Oumbi today and find out how he responds to the practical jokes that his hyperactive youngster plays on him.
Oumbi is a silverback western lowland gorilla that has lived at Twycross Zoo for a long time. He is a resident there. Oumbi is a kind buddy with a large heart, and he is a wonderful father to Lope, his son, who is 10 years old, even though he has a grumpy face.
At the zoo, Lope is a bright and mischievous little child. He delights in making memories with his family, particularly with his father. But, the elderly Oumbi is a cool dad, and he isn’t always in the mood for Lope to be goofing about with him. As a result, guests often watch Lope goofing off with his strict dad to involve him in his play.
“Keepers occasionally see him playing with Lope, but once he’s been caught he immediately stops and acts like the big boss again!!” told the Twycross Zoo.
It was a beautiful morning, and all Oumbi wanted was some quality alone time with the child he cherished the most. To keep his father from taking a sleep, Lope tried all in his power to rile him up.
Oumbi was dozing in the protection of a pavilion when Lope began his absurd chain of events. He removed his dad’s wood shavings and put them in his head. He moved like a clown, hopping and bounding around as though he had a collection of worthless wood shavings in his head.
After then, Lope went over to his father and started making a racket by hitting his chest. He hit him over the fence to get Oumbi’s focus away from what was going on. These annoying antics were unsuccessful in endearing themselves to the quiet father. Oumbi gave his son little attention and continued to sleep through the disturbance.
After his first attempt at his method was unsuccessful, Lope began reconsidering it. The son was adamant about not giving up, reasoning that there must be more than one approach to attracting his father’s attention. Because of this, he made it a point to be in his father’s personal area as much as possible while behaving in the most illogical manner he could imagine.
Because Lope’s father kept looking at Oumbi’s face through the fence as he carried out the plan, Lope could deduce that his father was fully deranged. He persisted, despite this fact, in making fun of his father.
A little time later, the tiredness that Oumbi was feeling made it hard for him to ignore his son. In a rage, he crammed some wood shavings into his head to fulfill his son’s wish that he appear as dumb as possible.
His annoying face was like, “Yeah yeah, here you go kid, satisfied?”.
The performance had not yet come to an end. Lope wanted to include his father in the peek-a-boo game since he thought it was funny and wanted to share the laughter with him. His kid’s continual coming and leaving was becoming an increasing source of annoyance for his father.
The grumpy dad was so worn out that he threw away the nearby bough.
Only to witness Oumbi’s level of exasperation!
