Confined In The Circus For 25 Years, The Bear Enjoys A Peaceful Shower In The Sunshine! (With Video)

Everyone loves to live in freedom! After spending 25 years confined to a circus, an elderly bear is enjoying shower in the sunshine…

Toshka, the bear, has been confined to a public circus for most of his life. But later he was taken to a to a sanctuary to enjoy his ‘retirement’.

He behaved somewhat bewildered by his past life. According to an employee of the sanctuary in Satanov, Ukraine, the bear was afraid of people and preferred to stay hidden when he came to the sanctuary.

But after about two weeks he became comfortable in his new surroundings and now sits peacefully in the sun for hours. It really has to happen.

Toshka spent most of her life in the circus and now enjoys a shower of sunshine!

A ‘bathing’ moment was captured on camera as he sat in the rain and licked the water that fell on him. But that’s not surprising as temperatures in Ukraine can reach up to 35C.

As seen in the video, it must be one of the bears’ favorite pastimes. He seems to like it a lot.

“Most of his life he was a circus bear, and he was transferred by the last owner to us for rehabilitation and life support,” said a staff member at the sanctuary.

“A month ago, we transported him and three other bears. Toshka was very afraid of people: he didn’t leave the bushes for two weeks.”

“Care and attention melted his heart. Now his favorite pastime is to shower in the sun. He takes a sitting position and is ready to sit for hours.”
