God Must Have A Purpose For Me

God gave me life, but for what reason? God must have a purpose for creating me!
I am just one person in a world of billions, and all indications are that my years here, at best, will be under 100, and ‘at worst’ not one more day.
Does God have a plan for your life? For example, some will tell you God does indeed have a specific calling for your life, and it’s your job to discover what it is. Another might suggest that God orchestrates our lives and everything that happens is His will.
Learned and sincere theologians land all over the spectrum on the issue of God’s purpose for each of us, which can only add to our anxiety about making the right decisions. Is this career, relationship, or place part of God’s plan for you?
But when it comes to God’s purpose for us, here are a couple of things we can be certain of:

God created me with a purpose in life

Amazing! I have found answers to my questions about my purpose here! God has created me to live a life that pleases Him, and He is giving me all the strength and guidance I need in order to do this! “Strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man (Ephesians 3:16). His will never involves sinning, and He strengthens me so that I, even I, can live without sinning, just as Jesus lived.

God wants us to help others know Him

One of the last instructions Jesus gave the disciples before He returned to the Father was that they should “go and make disciples of all nations.” This directive has come to be known as the Great Commission, and it extends to us as well!
So, if we’re really interested in God’s purpose for our lives, we’ll be involved in the work of sharing the gospel with others. Does that mean you have to become a missionary? No. But it does mean that you find ways to contribute to the work of creating disciples.

The course of a life can be changed forever by words of encouragement

Perhaps there are words you need to hear today — words that remind your heart that you matter, words that whisper the powerful promises of God’s heart toward you
that we would read and believe these words! Let them encourage those weary places in our hearts, our minds, and our souls that need to be reminded we are loved and our lives really do matter. And then, can we take these words and give some away? Because maybe, just maybe, these are the very words someone’s weary heart needs to hear today.

You can fulfill God’s purpose for you

It’s never too late to discover God’s purpose. Just remember that it starts with the things you can influence right now. At this very moment, you can study Scripture, pray, surround yourself with wise counselors, tune into the things you care about, and pursue righteousness. As you do so, you’ll watch your future unfold before you.
