This shows that animals have a better heart than humans. Animals are the most beautiful and aesthetic creatures. They see, feel and touch our souls in ways unimaginable.
Those who unconditionally love and respect these wonderful creatures given to us by our great Creator can deeply understand their feelings.
Mario Ejis was a 25-year-old maintenance worker at Rotterdam’s Diergaarde Blijdorp Zoo in the Netherlands.
But Mario was stricken with terminal cancer and the injury prevented him from doing his job for a while.
The zoo employee knew he didn’t have much time left and he made one last request, in 2014. His last request was that he wanted to visit the zoo again.
He was taken from the hospital in a specially designed ambulance so that his friends could visit him again.
When Mario was taken to the giraffe section, something incredible happened.
It was a heart-wrenching moment to watch the giraffes hanging their heads one after the other through the window to the ambulance carrying Mario.
They could sense that Mario was in a lot of pain and was suffering a lot. The giraffes kissed him and comforted him with very sad feelings in their eyes. It was a very sad and wonderful moment.
He got the chance to visit his home zoo for the last time. He also got a chance to say goodbye to his colleagues who worked with him.
Rest in eternal peace, Mario. You were their hero…!
