Having a personal relationship with God begins the moment we realize our need for Him, admit we are sinners, and in faith receive Jesus Christ as Savior. God, our heavenly Father, has always desired to be close to us, to have a relationship with us.
in this post we will be sharing with you some important ways to strengthen your relationship with Jesus, or ways to help you maintain a strong and healthy relationship with our lord and savior , Jesus Christ
Read the Bible Daily
This is the word of god, and it is essential to our relationship with him.it contains everything we need to know about living a Christ centered life. read it slowly and reflect on what you are learning.
Listen for Him
Though we may talk with God often, we may not be opening our ears to hear His answers and guidance. Sometimes you may not be receiving an answer to your own prayers, but God may prompt you to be an answer to someone else’s. Make sure you listen as much as you speak with Him. Communication goes both ways.
Set Out Time For Him
By this point in your semester, you should already know your schedule pretty well. You can pick out specific points in your day to read your Bible or just have a conversation with God. One thing I try to do is read my Bible every morning before I leave and every evening before I sleep. Granted, sometimes I run late and have to catch up on my reading later on in the day, but generally this has worked out well for me.
Obey God’s Commandments
God will not be happy if you keep on disobeying Him. You cannot build a relationship with Him if you do not obey His commandments. Hence, do not commit idolatry, adultery, robbery, lying and other things that God forbids.
Go To Church
Church is where we go to stay uplifted, feed our spirits, and grow in God. I understand that it’s hard not to sleep in on the weekends when we’ve had such long and stressful weeks, but God is our strength. He will help us in our time of weakness and reward us for our faithfulness. Even though it is tempting to continue sleeping, going to church will always help us strengthen our relationship with God. Find a church where you feel welcome and start making it part of your week to go to church. You can always take a Sunday-afternoon nap to catch up on sleep. Catching up on time with God is more important
