Have you ever heard of an aardwolf? Then know about this wonderful animal!
Native to eastern and southern Africa, they live in underground burrows.
But do you believe? They do not dig any burrows themselves, instead, they inhabit the abandoned burrows of other animals.
Descended from the hyena family, this amazing creature unlike their cousins, aardwolves only eats termites like the aardvark.
They have a long sticky tongue that they use to catch small termites. One wolf can eat 300,000 in one night.
The most interesting thing is that they are monogamous creatures and they stay with the same partner for the whole life.
They hibernate during winter but are nocturnal most of the time.
They are one of the few animals that adults are as cute as children.
However, these adult wolves can grow to the same size as a normal fox.
So if you learned something new or enjoyed it don’t forget to share it with your loved ones and friends!
