When we say there is power in Jesus’ name, what do we mean? The name of Jesus was actually a very common name in 1st century Israel. It is not the word itself that has power, but the person to who the name belongs. Jesus Christ’s name has power because He is God in the flesh, our one, and only Savior who died for our sins and rose again three days later. The power that comes from calling on the name of Jesus comes because we have faith and believe that He is Lord.
Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, God gave Him the most powerful name there is. Philippians 2:8–11 says: “And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” The name of Jesus compels us to worship Him and bring glory to God. Each person will one day come face to face with Jesus and will confess that He is Lord
There is Power in the Name of Jesus
The Bible is full of references that tell us there is power in the name of Jesus. It enables our salvation, deliverance, and sanctification. But, what does the name of Jesus mean?

The Bible teaches us that there is a name above all other names that we know. Whatever circumstances, trials or tribulations we are facing, they are just names which are all under one greater name ” Jesus Christ”.
So when you are feeling down and out and in need of direction, call upon the name of Jesus and He shall set you free.
why when we pray, we pray in the name of Jesus Christ and then heaven has to respond because the name of Jesus is like an identification card, whenever we use it heaven will respond.
